All dogs who are boarding or attending doggy day care will go through a thorough temperament test in order to ascertain if your pet is food, water or toy aggressive or aggressive towards humans or other pets. Additionally, unneutered males will be tested to determine if they are able to interact with other dogs. There is a one-time fee of $25.00 associated with this test. This test is not required for groom or bath dogs.
No. Sometimes it is best to have your pet neutered so that they do not show dominance towards other dogs, in effect, minimizing humping. Unneutered males never interact with females in heat. Our temperament test will determine if unneutered males may interact with other dogs.
Yes. Our food is $3.00 per meal / serving. Also, your pet may be on a special diet or different brand of food and it may upset his/her stomach and/or give him/her diarrhea.
Our temperament test will determine which pets interact with one another during the day. Our day care dogs are grouped according to size, temperament, personality and playfulness. Once assigned to a group, typically, the dog will remain with only that group.
The test is not a pass/fail. It determines if your pet is able to interact with other pets in a closed room, if your pet can only interact with other pets in an outside setting or if your pet can only interact with humans. Regardless, each pet goes outside to the play yard the same number times during the day for play time.
Yes. Due to the high demand for kennels at our facility, we require a $25.00 per pet deposit to reserve your kennel. We will not make a reservation without the required deposit.
No. However, we do not issue refunds. Your deposit will remain on your client record at The Dog House for future credit towards boarding, grooming, day care or any retail product.
Yes. The fee is $2.00 for each pill/injection each time we administer the medication. To avoid this fee, you can pre-bag the food and place the pill in the bag of food for your pet.
